The pie charts compares five age groups in terms of their preference for three apps, namely: Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
Overall, the age groups of 18-34 and 35-49 aged people comprise the largest proportion of users, whereas these apps are not popular among people aged 65 and over. Of particular note is Twitter, where there is the widest gap between age brackets, with the highest and the lowest proportions of people being in the same category.
Regarding the leading age brackets, it is evident that both 18-34 and 35-49 age groups are dominant in each app. Starting from younger one, 29% of people use Facebook, as for Twitter and YouTube, this group registers 40% and 26% respectively. The second predominant bracket shows almost simillar figures, 30% of them use Facebook, and Twitter and YouTube account for same figure, at 29%.
Turning to remaining age groups, much lower figures can be observed. For 50-64, almost identical proportion of elderly people use Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, at 18%, 19% and 20% respectively. The youngest group of people takes the penultimate place in the ranking, with 9% using Twitter, 14% and 15% of people prefering Facebook and YouTube respectively. Moving on to the eldest bracket, all apps composed the lowest shares, 4% for Twitter, 8% for Facebook and 10% for YouTube.
