The pie charts give information about the preferences of activities of boys and girls.
Overall, computer games was the most popular activity among boys, while most of the girls participated in dancing activity. Additionally, listening to music was equally popular among both males and females.
In detail, 34% of boys spend their leisure time playing computer games, which is considerably higher compared to other activities. Sport activities like basketball and soccer were another popular kind of activities among boys, accounting for 26% and 17% respectively. In contrast, only 2% of male survey contestants had reading as their favourite activity. Skateboarding and listening to music had similar figures, accounting for 11% and 10% of votes respectively.
As regards to girls’ activities, dancing (27%) and reading (21%) were two most favoured types of activities among females. 16% of girls chose computer games as their type of leisure activity, which is only 1% higher than playing netball (15%). Similarly, listening to music and gymnastics shared almost the same statistics, accounting for 10% and 11% respectively.
