Overall, one of the most noticeable features is that, listening to music is a common leisure activity, and it is least preferable activity by both genders. Additionally, computer games are the most preferred activity by boys. Whereas, dancing is popular leisure among female children’s.
In the first chart, computer games had highest participation rate 34 per cent, followed by basketball which contributes to 26% of the total. Furthermore, soccer is the third most preferred activity which account for 17%. Skateboarding is the second least favourite task.
Taking the closer look at second chart, girl’s cultural and free time activities include dancing, gymnastics, reading, netball, computer games. Most popular activity among girls is dancing (27% rate), followed by computer games and reading, at 16% and 21% respectively. The least preferred activity by the girl’s is listening to music which is similar to those of boy’s, which accounts to 10%.
