The figures demonstrate the outcome of children’s conventional and spare time activities collected via survey. The pie charts were divided to present the participation of boys and girls separately. Overall, it can be seen that the majority of the boys spent their time playing computer games whereas dancing was the most activity acquired by the girls.
In detail, 34% of all the male participants voted for computer games. Similarly, dancing accounted for 27% of all the female contributors. The category where boys showed the least interest was reading which came right after dancing for girls, recorded to be 2% and 21% respectively.
Moreover, a common interest between both types of youngsters was listening to music which accounted for 10% of the male voters as well as one tenth of the females. Computer games were given attention by girls too but not as much as boys, where only 16 % of them voted.
Subsequently, the second largest activity that boys gave their free time to was basketball, played by 26%. However, 17% of the boys played soccer and 11% went skateboarding. On the other hand, 15% of the girls played netball and the last 11% of the females spent leisure playing gymnastics.
