The maps illustrate the arrangement of a college cafe prior to its restructuring and its current organisation. Overall, the cafe has undergone significant changes, including the addition of several new facilities and the reorganisation of its existing space.
Looking at the map in more detail, the kitchen, the central seating area and the restrooms have remained in their original locations. Before the redesign, the cafe comprised the kitchen and catering counter in the north of the building. The central part contained a seating area with tables and chairs, whereas two staff dining rooms were positioned to the north of it, facing the entrance. Each of these rooms included one round table and six chairs. On the east side, a bin was located between the doorway and the toilets.
In the present setup, the previous serving area has been transformed into a hot meals section. The two staff dining roomshave been replaced by a takeaway food area in the first room and a coffee bar in the second. Furthermore, the original bin has been converted into recycling bins, while a salad bar has been constructed on the opposite side them, at the far end of the cafe. The most notable addition is an outdoor seating area in the southern part of the building, which contains five tables and twenty-six chairs in total. On the right-hand side of the terrace, there is a barbecue area.
