Overall, the museum saw a significant expansion and modernization, with the constructions of several new facilities. It became more convenient place for people to enjoy thanks to the building a new café, shop and car park.
In 1957, the lay-out of the museum was small and deprived. There were only two rooms where national and local exhibitions took place. Also, one more room was acculated to store things. However, the surrounding was totally green with many plants.
In 2007, the museum became more up-to-date. A new car park was constructed between the road and the entrance, making the museum more comfortable for people with cars. As for the inside of the museum, a shop was built just near the entrance to make people buy something before they go to the reception. Another main features added in this year were a café and an educational center. Although the expansion of the museum caused so many trees being cut off, a few of them were left as a small garden.
