The diagrams illustrate the Grange Park from 1920 when it first opened to the present.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the park has undergone noticeable changes in its original features with the replacement of new entertaining facilities. While some areas such as rose garden and seating areas have remained, others such as glasshouse, fountain and stage have been completely removed.
In the past, Grange had a symmetrical layout, with a fountain in the center. On the either side of fountain, there were seats and rose gardens, and a stage for musicians was positioned on the Westen part of the park, right next to the fountain. Also, a glasshouse and a pond for water plants located in the Easten side.
Nowadays, the central fountain has been converted into rose garden with seating areas on its four sides. On the Westen part, stage has been removed and replaced by amphitheatre for concerts, while the rose garden still has been kept. But the Easten rose garden, glasshouse and pond has been replaced by a cafe, water feature and a playground for children in the corner respectively. Whereas, an underground car park was added, with a new entrance on the South-East which is next to the water feature.
