The given plans depict the redevelopment of a library’s ground floor between 2001 and 2009.
Overall, instead of the areas of librarian’s desk, stairs, and tables, all the other spaces had been redesigned. Also, computers, children’s area and the other categories of books had been added in the ground floor. Additionally, the previous Newspaper and Predictions area haas been replaced by Films and DVDs.
In the middle area of the library ground floor, it is clear that librarian’s desk, stairs, and tables in the open area has remained at the same place over the period shown. However, the aisles and size of the tables has been changed. Additionally, unlike the remained areas, children’s zone and computers has been added, and the Newspaper and Predictions area haas been replaced by Films and DVDs.
What’s more, the size of every previous book categories has decreased into smaller zones, with Kitchen, Economics, and Laws books area been added, with each sectors of books using the quantity of space equally. Also, the old fiction area has been replaced by big tables.
