The two map illustrate the current layout of the southeast airport and the proposed change for the future development in two years .
Over all , it is clear that the airport will be significantly expanded . The number of gates will increase substantially from 1-8 to 1-18 , the circulation links will be lengthened and a range of passenger facilities like shops, bag drop points, ATMs, a sky train and car hire – will be added.
At present a single short walkway connects the main terminal to a small area containing eight gates. The terminal area is simply divided into departures (with security/passport control) and arrivals (passport control/customs), with only one café shown. After redevelopment the apron is much larger: the walkway becomes a longer central spine , serving a total of 18 gates. New service features such as bag-drop counters at check-in, additional cafés, shops and an ATM appear in the new plan, plus an external car hire point – all absent in the current layout.
The existing terminal’s basic block is retained, but the circulation route is extended into a T-shaped concourse with gate numbers spread along both arms. Two sky-train/station symbols are placed on the central spine to improve internal transfer. shops are located beside the departures area, while arrivals gains an ATM and a car-hire desk. Check-in is expanded to include dedicated bag-drop facilities, and cafés are added on both sides of the terminal. In short, the redevelopment increases capacity and passenger comfort while improving internal transport and circulation.
