The line graph depicts the fluctuating costs of three precious metals(Gold, Platinum and Palladium) over a period of eight year between 2013 and 2021.
Overall, the price of Palladium has shown an increase over the years, which was initially less costly when compared to Gold and Platinum. Although, the cost of Gold and Platinum have observed a decline in initial years, but the price of Gold has seen a slight growth. Whereas the cost of Platinum has decreased till the end, which resulted it being less costly than Gold and Palladium.
Palladium was priced around 550 dollars per ounce in 2013. It remain steadily above around 500 dolars per ounce till 2016. Afterwards it has shown a sharp elevation in its price which peaked at just under 2500 dollars per ounce in the last year 2021.
Additionally, costs of Gold and Platinum were more or less have seen a same pattern in beggining years. Both were priced at a bit under 1500 dollars per ounce in 2013. Furthermore, they both have shown a similar pattern of reduction in cost till 2014. Then, price of Gold overtook Platinum in 2015 and indicated a gradual rise in its value till 2019 and ended up with cost of about 1750 dollars per ounce in 2021. Whereas, the cost of Platinum followed a gradual decline from 2015 to 2020, after which it just elevated a bit just over 1000 dollars per ounce.
