Based on the table, the budget was increased in 2018. Especially, there is a big difference between the amount of the local taxes for 2017 and 2018, 11,1 million pounds to be exact. Considering the change in quantity of the money from the National government and other sources, total sum of increase made up to 13,9 million pounds. There are some changes in spendings too. They spent almost two times as much as in the previous year on technology. Therefore, money allocated for salary of officers and staff was reduced by 6%. However, money spent on buildings and transport remained unchanged.
Overall, police’s budget stayed nearly the same. The difference is only 5%. They also focused on improving technology. Thus is the main difference throughout two years.
