Overall, it can be observed that the majority of water sources were used for agricultural processes, except of some countries in which domestic field dominated. However, the least amount of water was consumed for industrial sector.
In regard to the domestic processes, Australia had the highest usage of water with 65%. Nevertheless, Canada almost ties with 63% of water expending. In contrast, the UK and China witnessed the lowest proportion of water utilization with 5% and 6% respectively. Of course, Japan and India also stood out with their rates of water consumption, 19% for India and with a significant 9% difference for Japan (10%). On the other side of spectrum, the industrial sphere gained a conspicuous expenditure of water only in Canada with 32%, while in other 5 countries it was less than 20%.
In terms of agricultural water needs, the most imposing usage was done in UK with 90%. Closely followed by China and Japan 87% and 82% respectively. Granted, the least amount of water was spent by Canada with only 5%. In addition, the water consumption in India was double that in Australia with 33%
