The table illustrates the percentage of adutls who attended to 4 types of activities in their free time in countrysides and cities throughout the timeframe 1990-2010.
Overall, the rate of reading activity in 1990 in both regions accounted for the highest number while photography suffered in comparison. In addition, most of pursuits in both rural and urban areas exposed stability and upward tendency except animated play activities.
Looking closely the figures in 1990, rural and urban areas showed 61% and 67% people who attended to reading activities while this number was just 10% and 18% for animated play pursuits, respectively. Urban areas still held higher rate in other pursuits such as playing and photography activities, from 5%-7%.
However, rate of participation in reading between two areas was balanced with 78% in 2010. Besides, animated play’s figure was unchanged in countrysides while it decreased slightly about 4% in urban areas. Playing activities showed the contrasting tendency while the percentage of cities have no transformation but countrysides declined by 7%. There was the same level of growth for photography activities with 10% for both areas in the end of the period.
