Overall, retired couples spent a larger total amount of money than a single person. Additionally, housing had the biggest amount for a single person, and leisure for couples, while the opposite was true for other expenses.
Starting with total expenditure, a retired senior person spent $684, compared to a retired couple, with $931. For, housing, the expenditure of a retired couple was $194, whereas that of retired a single person accounted for $184. Leisure came in second place with 140 dollars by a single person and 202 dollars by couples.
Regarding transport, the expenditure was 107 dollars for single person, making it just small than a couple, with 108 dollars. Clothing made up 80 dollars for second group, was almost twice as high as fisrt group, at 44 dollars. The former spent 50 dollars on food, making it half as low as the latter with 100 dollars. Other expenses were $37 and $70 for both groups, respectively.
