The table indicates information on consumer spending on different commodities in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in the year 2002.
Overall, the highest level of consumption was that of food,drinks and tobacco in Turkey whereas, the lowest percentage of use was recorded in Sweden in similar item category. The least consumed item was leisure/education in Spain. The statistics on clothing and footwear were almost similar as the rates are closely ranged.
It can be clearly seen that different products were used differently in the five coutries. Turkey was the highest consumer of food, drinks and tobacco with 32.14% while Sweden was the least consumer with a percentage of 15.77%. The figures were slightly varied in the other three coutries in similar products.
Moreover, clothing and footwear data indicates a moderately low usage. The highest coutry was Italy at 9.00% and the lowest was Sweden at 5.40%. The other countries range closely with slight differences. Furthermore, leisure and education was also lowly used as the highest figure was at 4.35 % by Turkey, followed by Sweden at 3.22% then Ireland, Italy and Spain with 2.21%, 3.20% and 1.98% respectively.
