The industry sector, on the other hand, used 10% of water of total in Egypt, while 30% of water was used in Saudi Arabia. Agriculture field, which required a vast amount of water in both countries, representing 82% in Egypt and 64% in Saudia Arabia, respectively.
A similar trend was observed in New Zealand, where small amount of water was used for domestic use, showing 10%. In contrast, 10% of water was used for agriculture sector in Canada, while 20% of water was utilized for domestic purposes. The industry and agriculture sectors recorded similar water consumption, at 46% and 44% in New Zealand. As for Canada, the highest amount of water was used for industry, accounting for 70%, which was its peak level.
