The presented data illustrates the common distance travelled by adults and the used by 7 ways of transportation yearly in 1977 and 2007.
Overall, surveyed individuals travelled the furthest via car in both compared years. Where as bicycle was only used for short-distanced trips, being recorded with the least kilometer input.
It is evident that taxi held the first place in terms of growth, as the distance in the first recorded year only takes up one fourth of the number in 2007. Alongside taxi, the annual distance for cars had at least doubled by volume in the second year compared to 1977, going from 3500 to 7100 kilometers. Train also experienced a 10% increase of distance input compared to the first servey.
On the other hand, other methods of travelling such as walking and bus all showed a decline overtime, dropping by 100, and 300 kilometers respectively. Motorcycle and bicycle witnessed a slight decrease, by roughly 10-20%.
