The table illustrates the cost of water usage for a person on a daily basis in five various countries, and also presents data regarding the proportional amount of this cost in terms of the common daily wage.
Overall, what stands out from the table is that while the amount of cost of water usage and its share as a percentage of daily wages are highest in Tanzania among the countries studied, in the USA, these figures are lowest.
Focusing on the cost of daily water use for an average person, Tanzania is placed first with 6.4 cents, which is 2.3 cents more than in Uganda and 4.64 cents more than in Pakistan. On the other hand, this cost is 1.3 cents and 0.85 in the UK and the USA respectively, making them the countries with lowest figures.
Turning to the amount of this cost calculated as the percentage of average daily wage, Tanzania’s figure stands at 5.7%, making it the highest data among all the countries investigated. As for Uganda and Pakistan, such a proportional cost is 3.2% in the former and 1.1% in the latter. Finally, the UK’s number is reported to be 0.013%, a figure almost twice as large as that of the USA’s, recording 0.006%, which makes this country the one with the lowest number.
