The table reveals the number of tourists and their spending in five popular countries in two year 2012 and 2013.
Overall, with the exception of China, most of countries witnessed a increase in the number of visitors in 2013, in which the total of French visitors took the lead in both surveyed years, while the USA recorded the most dramatic spending.
In two years, although the influx of people travelling to France ranked the highest, which was 83 and 84.7 millions, the allocation of visitors decreased from 53.6 to 53.1 billion in 2013. Noticeably, the spending of American visitors topped at $126.2 billion in 2012, folllowed by a significant growth of $13.4 billion in 2013, and there was a considerable increase in the volume of tourists to this country, which started at 66.7 and ended with 69.8 millions in 2013.
It is clear that people tended to travel to Spain more than to Italy,so the Spanish data, standing at 57.5 millions, was nearly 10 millions higher than the Itaian ones. Therefore, the figure for Spanish expense at $53.3 invariably surpassed by that of Italy, at $41.2, which were $60.4 billion and $43.9 billion respectively in 2013. Conversely, regardless of the decline of about 2 millions in the number of guests, the tourist expenditure in China consistently went up by about 2 billion to $51.7 billion in 2013.
