Overall, it is clear that the highest salaries are in Australia, Denmark, and Japan, while the lowest salaries were recorded in Portugal and Belgium. In addition, the shortest number of years to achieve the maximum salary is in Australia.
Regarding the highest salary, Australia had the highest maximum salary, 77,180 USD per annum. Also, in Australia, it is much faster to achieve that salary (only 19 years) compared to other countries. However, the highest salary at the start of the teacher’s career and salary after 15 years are demonstrated in Denmark and Japan, representing 38,345 USD at the beginning of the career in Japan and 58,000 USD after 15 years in Denmark.
Considering the lowest salaries, Belgium and Portugal represented the smallest number of USD in salary in almost all categories. Only 15,100 USD at the start of the career was revealed by Denmark, while the maximum salary of 32,500 USD per annum was recorded in Portugal. Moreover, despite the smallest amount of salary, these countries demonstrated an average number of years to reach it: 25 in Belgium and 22 in Portugal.
