The table illustrates the changes in the percentage of lawyers’ job preference throughout 15 years in a specific country.
Overall, the percentages of males and females in the private lawyer sector increased the most in these years whilst the business sector displayed minute changes, thus it remained the lowest category.
The percentage of females steadily increased in the private lawyer and business sectors, however decreased significantly in the others category. In 2016, fewer males chose a job in the government sector, therefore the female population surpassed them by 4 percent. However, in the same year, a larger portion of males than females chose the other category. The business sector experienced the least changes in percentages as there was only an incremental increase in the female percentage, peaking at 21 percent in 2016. The female percentage was predominantly higher in 2016, with the majority in the government sector with 42 percent.
