The table chart depicts the amount of money used for operating a used bookstore, including benefits, rent, equipment, utilities, professional fees, marketing, maintenance and others in Scotland between January and December in 2018.
Overall, the total dollar of wage, rent, utilities witnessed the upward trend from January and December while the remaining groups saw a dramatic decrease. Notably, the renting expense had the highest figure during the period.
At the start of the year, rent cost 3200 dollars, which held the top spot among the other expenses. This was followed by utilities at 455 dollars, which was more than 11 dollars other. However, in December, renting expenses underwent an upward trend and still had the highest figure while utilities decreased dramatically, from 455 dollars to 265 dollars and it was also overtaken by others at 599 dollars.
From January to December, although professional fees and maintenance saw an upward trend, their proportion was lower than the wage, which stood at 226 dollars in December. The chart showed that the money used for equipment is higher than maintenance in December even though the expense of equipment decreased from 53 dollars to 43 dollars and the expense of maintenance rose significantly from 10 dollars to 42 dollars. After that, the expense total in January is lower than the one in December around 1900 dollars.
