The table illustrates how many full-time students who were born in India studied at six different universities in the UK over the period between 2020 and 2022.
Overall, a rise in the total number of full-time college student could be seen. Number of Indian students in Sheffield University experienced a significant increase with 187.7%, which was the highest % increase among six universities, whereas BPP University had the lowest % increase in the number of students over the period.
It can be seen that BPP University had 3505 Indian students in the academic year 2020/21. In contrast, there were only 815 students who studied in Sheffield University in the same academic year. A significant increase with 2900 students was seen in Coventry University, which had the greatest number of change in Indian students over the period and contained the highest number of students who were born in India in the academic year 2021/22. In competition, the number of Indian students who studied in the University of Leicester only increase by 1215, which is the lowest in terms of change in number of students.
