The table illustrates the number of Indian university students who studied full-time at different universities in the UK in 2020/21 and 2021/22.
Overall, the most number of Indian students studied at BPP University in 2020/21 and at Coventry University in 2021/22, while Sheffield University, which experienced the most significant increase, comprised of the least number of Indian students in both academic years.
With regard to three universities in the UK (Coventry University, Sheffield University, and The University of Leicester), the number of Indian students rose considerably and in 2021/22 it became over double that of 2020/21. The university students from India at these three universities accounted for 5,290, 2,345, and 2,390 respectively.
Likewise, there can be seen a similar trend in the remaining universities. The amount of growth at The University of Greenwich, BPP University, and Anglia Ruskin University were up to 2,085 Indian students at The University of Greenwich. There were 5,145 Indian students (the second highest popular university in 2021/22) at BPP University, while the percentage of increase was minimum at this university (at 46.8%). One of the least amount of climb in terms of the number of university students from India was at Anglia Ruskin University at 1,340.
