The table illustrates tne humber of Indian pupils studying at 6 universities in UK, during 2020/21 and 2021/22 semsters.
It can be clearly seen that during both terms, more students from India studied at BPP University compared to other colleges. It is also noticeable that the number of Indian students of all universities increased in 2021.
In 2020, 3,505 of BPP University students were Indian which is significantly larger than that of other universities. The 2nd and 3rd universities regarding the population of Indian students were The University of Greenwich (with 2,455 pupils) and Conventry University (with 2,390 pupils), respectively. Similarly, in 2021, the number of Indian students enrolled in BPP University was larger than other reported colleges. In this year, the place of Conventry University and The University of Greenwich changed because the number of Indian students of the former doubled and reached 5,290, while that of The University of Greenwich matched 4,540.
The most dramatic increase of population of Indian pupils happed in Sheffield University. In 2020, 815 Indian students were studying there. This number jumped to 2,435 in 2021, resulting in a 187.7% rise. However, as opposed to other colleges, this university had less students from India in both 2020/21 and 2021/22 semesters. Moreover, Anglia Ruskin University and The University of Leicester ranked 4th and 5th in both semesters in terms of the number of Indian students.
