Overall, New South Wale had the highest hospital stays while South Australia’ number was the lowest. The pie chart indicates that the the distribution stays between private and public medical facilities was relatively balanced, with public overnight stays more higher than private stays.
Initially, New South Wales dominated the table with 8323 stays with the majority are public facilities which accounted for 6097 stays. Victoria followed with 6842 cases in total, similar to New South Wale, public hospital prevailed with 4607 cases, while private sector stays were 2235 which slightly higher than New South Wale consist of only 2225. Queensland number of admissions was 5191 with public hospital contributed to 3128 cases and private facilities made up 2063 cases. On the other hand, Western Australia and South autralia stays were significantly lowers than New South wale and Victoria while sharing the identical distribution pattern with them.
In terms of admission percentages, both public overnight and same day cases predominated the chart with each comprising 30%. One-day private medical admission, which accounted for 26%, came next in terms of volume. Ultimately, staying at the bottom of the chart, private overnight medical cases represented 14% of the total.
