The table compares the proportion of lawyers across different sectors in a particulary country over the period from 2001 to 2016.

Overall, goverment accounted for the highest percentege of in both gender and years, although their share decreased over time, while private and business sectors became more popular, especially among females.

In terms of goverment jobs, males accounted for the highest proportion at 45% in 2001, followed by females at 41%. However, while figure for males fell to 38% in 2016, that for females rose slightly to 42%. By contrast, the proportion of private lawyers was much lower, with of males and 17% of females in 2001, rising to 19% and 21% respectively in 2016.

Meanwhile, business represented the smallest share, with both men and women at 14% in 2001. In contrast, the percentage for men remained stable, while that for women increased to 21%. Compared with business, other fields showed a different trend which is the figure for males started at 26% in 2001 and slightly increased to 29 % 2016 , and the figure for females had significant decrease from 28% in 2001 to in 2016.
