The table compares the proportions of male and female who rode bicycles in 2012. It divided by age group in one city.
It is clear that female baby and toddler population had more bicycles, followed by teenagers group. The numbers of older population is fluctuative in this year. The populations of both genders had similar percentage according to bicycle-riding and age group.
In age group of 0-9, female had 1,7% more population who rode bicycle, compared to male. For teenagers age range, which is 10-19, female had 43,6% and male had 25,1%. This data indicates a quiet huge gap between genders also from previous age group.
The older populations, the percentage incline rapidly. In both genders, young adults had less than 20%, but it doesn’t eradicate fact that female group still the higher with 7,4% gap. The numbers keep decrease in adults group, which shown female by 13,7% and male by 9,3%. However, the elderly had more bicycle than the younger one, stated that female in the 19,8% and male in the number of 14,6%.
