Overall, while most of the cities followed an upward trajectory, Brisbane remained stable, hovering at 2.25 dollars. In addition, Sydney was always the dominant price for a cup of coffee over the course of time.
In terms of higher pricing and more substantial changes, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are significant instances. In 2010, Sydney commenced with 2.8 dollars and it had a slight increase of 13,2% in selling price was recorded four years later, at 3.17 dollars. Notably, Melbourne rised dramatically from 2.4 dollars to 2.9 dollars from 2010 to 2014, which noticed the largest percentage growth in coffee costs. However, the figure for Brisbane flattened out at 2.5 dollars and it placed third highest over four years.
Focusing on Perth, Adelaide and Canberra, they were notable examples and ranked last during the period. At the beginning of the period, the coffee cost in Perth and Adelaide were 2.1 dollars and 1.87 dollars, respectively, then in 2014 they witnessed a similar increase of approximately 7%. Canberra maintained the lowest price throughout the timeframe, even though it increased slightly from 1.6 dollars to 1.7 dollars.
