The table compares the cost of coffee in six different nations: Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth in years between 2010 and 2014.
Overall, Sydney overwhelmingly outcompeted others in terms of the price of coffee, while opposite was true for Canberra in both years. It is also evident that all countries’ index underwent a noticeable upward trend except for Brisbane.
Sydney was country, selling the most expensive coffee $2,9 and $3,17 for a cup in 2010 and 2014, respectively. This was closely followed by Melbourne, recording a dramatic increase from $2,4 to $2,9 with 20,8% growth in cost. The rate of coffee in Canberra was nowhere near to others, registering an insignificant 6,5% climb, which was three times less than their Melbournian counterparts.
Turning to the remaining figures, although a cup of coffee was least expensive in Adelaide and Perth, accounting $1,8 and $2,1,their indicators experienced a negligible 6,9% and 7,1% growth, respectively.
