Overall, the activities are divided into six categories with data being collected across three age groups (16-24yrs, 25-44yrs, 45-74yrs). The highest participation rates are observed from the performance criteria. Additionally, Computer based and writing domain is less favoured amongst everyone.
For the younger age group ranging from 16-24 years, a strong preference for dancing, singing, playing instruments and acting can be clearly noticed, accounting for 35% involvement. The participation for middle aged is 22% followed by 17% for the elder group. Conversely, the trend is reversed for the Craft and cultural purchases, where the elder group shows highest engagement, followed by middle aged and then teens and young adults.
Visual arts is another category which intrigues the young generation accounting for 30%. This activity does not suit the remaining age groups with the percentages lying in the Tens range. Writing and computer based are the least interesting activities overall, with the contribution being 7% and 6% respectivey. Nevertheless, the youth still partake in this domain, displaying a high interest, and their participation contributes to 17% and 10% for writing and computer related.
