The given table compares collected data about department and online stores in Australia in 2011.
Overall, there are four different aspects depicted in the table, including the number of businesses, profit (AUD), sales revenue (AUD), and growth. Online stores in all four categories were higher than those for department stores.
To begin with, the number of businesses had the highest figure at 368 in online stores, which was fivefold the number of businesses in department stores in Australia in the selected year. Furthermore, there was little difference between the profit (AUD) in department shops and online ones, at 807 and 863 respectively.
In terms of sales revenue (AUD), department stores still had lower points compared to online shops, the former reached only 12,700 AUD, whilst the latter was 13,400 AUD in 2011. As for the growth, the table shows little differences in contrast with the other aspects, with 4% in department stores and 2% higher for online stores, at 6 percent.
