The bart chart illustrates the percentage of different size of companies which used social media for businesses from 2012 to 2016.
Overall, in large business allocated significantly more usage of social media than those in other businesses. Notably, in the first of the period, using social networks was less common for both small and medium businesses whereas this figure significantly increased in the final year.
In 2012, the percentage of large company started with about 75% before dropping sharply approximately 55% in 2015. However, this proportion rose steadly in the final years, peaking at 80% in 2016.
By contrast, the proportion of small and medium businesses followed a downward trend. Starting at close to 30% and 35% in both companies in 2012 – the smallest figure on the chart – the percentage rose noticably, reaching at 50% in meduim company in 2014. This was followed by a slight decrease to about 30% respectively in both companies in 2015 before this trend rose slightly 50% in 2016.
