to begin with, in 1990 iran, iraq and kuwait stood at around 1 to 3 million barrels per day. these figures rose slightly in the following years. by 2010, iran and iraq reached approximately 4 to 5 million barels per day, instead, kuwait remained relatively stable at just under 4 million.

conversely, saudi arabia showed a significant rise in oil production capacity over the period. starting at 8 million barrels per day in 1990, and increased dramatically approximately 14 million barrels per day in 2010. whereas, qatar and uae had much lower production levels, although both countries saw small but steady growth over time.
