The table illustrates the number of students studying in Malaysian secondary schools over two school years, and the charts provide informations about students’ favorite sports.
Overall, the school had the highest number of students in 2014, after decades,compared to previous years, when students enjoyed playing tennis and football more. When the numbers of students increased, football and basketball had the highest percentage.
It is clearly seen that between 2004 and 2005, secondary school has 73,000 students and most of them loved playing tennis and represented 40%. While, 30% of students enjoyed playing football, one quarter percent (15) of students prefered playing basketball. In addition, swimming (10%) and rugby (5%) represented the last placed in favorite sport list.
Regarding to period from 2014 and 2015, the numbers of students significantly increased and reached their peak with 91,000. Despite the facts that the students who enjoyed tennis represented 40% before decades, now tennis showed 15%,then tennis replaced with football (40%). The number of students who loved basketball increased to double percent (35%), while tennis made up 15% and rugby and swimming represented other 10%, respectively.
