The table illustrates the proportions of residents living in four different types of housing in three areas of a city in the UK.
Overall, the central area witnesses the highest percentage of residents in detached houses, while the Green Park area is dominated by flat owners and Southberg by terraced accommodations.
In the Central area, which has a population of 32100 residents, detached houses are the most common type of housing, at 39%, followed by those who live in semi-detached houses, accounting for 28%. Terraced houses and flats are less popular, with 18% and 15%, respectively, making this area the lowest figure of flat owners across the UK.
Regarding the Green Park area, in contrast to Central area, it is primarily made up of apartments. About 76% of dwellers live in flats, while just 14% account for terraced houses. Here, semi-detached and detached homes are comparatively uncommon, housing only 5% of the population.
In Southberg, which has 32,000 inhabitants, terraced housing is the predominant type of accommodation, housing 56% of residents. Although they correspond to 25% of the population, apartment owners are less prevalent than in Green Park. Similar to Green Park, only 5% of people reside in semi-detached homes, while 14% of people live in detached homes.
