The table provides information about the global market share of the notebook computer market for seven different manufacturers in 2006 and 2007. Overall, it is obvious that market shares for some of the manufacturers namely, HP, Dell, and Toshiba increased while Acer, Lenovo, Fujitsu, and others decreased over time.
On the one hand according to the chart, in 2006 HP had most part of the market share at about 31.4 which increased to 34% in 2007. Dell and Toshiba increased from 16.6% to 20.2 for Dell and from 6.2% to 7.3% for Toshiba.
On the other hand, the chart illustrates that the market share for Acet and Lenovo decreased from 11.6% to 10.7 for Acer and from 6.6% to 6.2% for Lenovo.
It is noticeable that Fujitsu’s market share halved from 4.8 to 2.3. Other company’s market share reduced from 22.8% to 19.3% in 2007.
