Overall, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, and Motorola were the only companies to experience growth in market share from 2005 to 2006. Nokia and Motoralo remained the leading companies in both years, while BenQ Mobile consistently held the smallest proportion of the total sales.
Nokia accounted for 32.5% of the total market in 2005 and rose to 35% by 2006, followed my Motorola’s market share which comprised 17.7% in the first year and 21.1% in the second year. Samsung’s sales decreased slightly from 12.7% in 2005 to 11.8% in 2006, whereas Sony Ericsson’s figure rose significantly from 6.3% to 7.4%. In contrast to Sony Ericsson, percentages of L.G and BenQ mobile companies fell from 6.7% to 6.3% and 4.9% to 2.4%, respectively. Other companies demonstrated a downward trend, dropping from 19.2% in 2005 to 16.2% in 2006.
