The table shows the percentage of a people in a town who rode bicycles in 2011,divided into five age groups and by gender.
Overall, females had higher rates of bicycle riding than males in every age group.In addition,the highest percentages were recorded among children aged 0-9,while the lowest figure were seen in the 40-59 age group.
Among children aged 0-9, just over half of both females 51.3%and males 50.3% rode bicycle, making this the highest proportion in the table. In the 10-17 age group, the percentage of female cyclist was 42.2% which was much higher than the figure for males at 24.6%.
The percantages were lower among adults. for people aged 18-39, 17.1% of females and 9.7% of males rode bicycles. The lowest rates were found in the 40-59 age group, at 12.3% for women and only 8.0% for men. However, the figures increased slightly for those aged 60 and over, reaching 18.5% for females and 13.2% for males
