Overall, it can be seen from the table that USA has more international students than than of Canada. In addition, there was an increase trend in the number of abroad pupils studying in Canda, while the opposite trend was true for America.
In 2002, the total number of foreign pupils in Canada was 59,870. While the number of students coming from China, the USA and India was 5,400, 5,000 and 2,100, respectively. In 2003, there was a slight increase of 45% China’s students, 35% pupils in India and only 9% students coming from the usa. Overall, the total number of students rose 17%.
In 2002, the total number of student in the USA was 581,870. While the number of students coming from India was a high of 200,000 which was nearly doubled than that of China. In addition, the lowest number of students from Canada was 31,000. In 2003, there was a gradual increase of approximately in the number of students from china and Canada. By contrast, the figure for India dropped its lowest. On the one hand, the total number of international pupils went up to 2%.
