The statistics compare the average earnings between graduates and non-graduates in the UK between 2000 and 2010.
Overall, salaries from graduates are higher than non-graduates. The biggest gap appears in the age of 52 with a difference of 14,800 pounds.
As can be seen, the average salaries of graduates being at 29,900 pounds are higher than non-graduates being at 17,800 pounds.
Turning to average age bands, the age 22 had a small difference, with 15,800 pounds for graduates and 14,500 for non-graduates. At the age 32, 42, and 52, graduates earnings respectively being at 31,500, 32,800, 33,900 pounds while non-graduates earnings remain at 19,100 pounds. The highest salaries from graduates stand at 33,900 pounds which is 14,800 pounds higher than the figure for non-graduates. At the age 62, earnings from both groups decreased, however the salaries from non-graduates were still less than graduates with respective figures being 23,100 and 15,300 pounds.
