The given table shows the lawyers’ percentage in variety of jobs differentiated by gender from 2001 to 2016. Generally speaking, private lawyer and business displayed an upward trends, whereas government and others enumerated both upward and downward trends.
While private lawyer and business started off with a low percentage below 20%, the lawyer who worked as a private lawyer similarly increased with a 4% difference in the latest year. In the case of business industry, with males and females’ starting point percentage were exactly the same, only females ended up leveling up to 21%.
In contrast, the government initial standing was far beyond every other industry, almost 1/2 of the perfect percentage, but gave a significant decrease higher than 5% from male side, and a slight increasement, specifically 1%, from female side. Lastly, the lawyers’ jobs in other industries appeared to produce a mild growth from male side, but moderately dropped in 12% from female side.
