The line graph illustrates the average change spending annually of Uk consumers on three categories as groceries ,beauty products and books and newspapers from the year 2000 to 2020.
Overall, it can be clearly analyzed from the line chart that the amount of money on groceries in the beginning it was greater than the amount of money people spent at the end of the period.Similarly, beauty products saw as a dramatic rise whereas the amount of money spent on books and newspapers fell over the entire period.
Now turning to the details, the amount of money dropped in groceries remained relatively stable around 150 pounds but after 2010 it show a slight downward trend then it stayed consistent.Secondly,talking about the beauty products saw it experienced significant growth which start at 50 pounds in 2000 and sharply increased, overtaking groceries in 2010. However in 2020, it reached approximately 250 pounds,marking it the highest of all three categories.
Likewise,the amount spending in books and newspapers it declined steadily from around 100 pounds in 2000 to close to 20 pounds by 2020. The sharpest declined occurred after 2010.
