The statistics illustrate detailed information regarding the shifts in the proportion of qualified graduates in a certain country in 1980 and 2008.

Regarding Science diploma, there was 13% students graduating at PhD level in 1980 before reaching nearly a third in 2008. Masters and First degree Science remained steadily, with their figures being 29% and 19%, respectively.

Concerning Arts Diploma, the percentage of Masters Arts witnessed a slight increase, increasing from 12% to 13% in the given years. The rest of levels saw a contrast pattern when one quarter of students graduated with First degree, falling considerably to just over one tenth in the following 28 years and PhD Arts constituted the lowest proportion with only 2% in 1980, which rose by 5% in 2008.

Overall, we can see that there were both upward and downward trends in the given levels of education broken down into majors and another noticeable feature is that graduates with Science diploma accounted for the majority of qualified graduates in both years.
