The maps illustrate the changes made to the road access of the City Hospital between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, significant changes occurred in the southern area of the City Hospital. The former parking area was divided into two separate sections, while the six bus stops were replaced by a bus station. In addition, two roundabouts were introduced to improve road access.
In 2007, there were six bus stops on both sides of the Hospital Road. A single parking space, situated to the south-east of the hospital, was used by the public and employees. City Road intersected with Hospital Road to the south of the facility, forming a junction.
Over the three-year period, these stops were replaced by a bus station located to the south-west of the hospital. Two separate car parks were constructed: the public car park was relocated to the north-east, and a new entrance was added on the eastern side, while the staff car park remained in the southern section. The original intersection was replaced with a roundabout, and an additional roundabout was built further north along the Hospital Road.
