The two maps show the transformation of a town called Dalton over 200 years old, from 1815 – 2015.
In 1815, Dalton was a small town with a large forest in the west to north, hallfarm is in the south, by the river, the Dalton Hall in the east and houses from north to east with the bridleway leading to the Dalton Hall.
In 2015, the Dalton Hall was entirely cleared, replaced by an industrial zone and a hospital on the west side of the river, the ford was replaced by the bridge and an airport was constructed on the south side of the river dal. The former hall farm was replaced by a school and Dalton hall was replaced by a hotel. The natural Dalton town was now converted to a bustling town.
