The two pictures illustrate the change in Denham between the years of 1986 and 2016.
Overall, the urbanization process is apparent with a substantial increase in the number of houses and removal of the sections designated for grazing.
To begin with, the area of residential properties had been extended both alongside the main road and into the farmlands, forming new grid and cul-de-sac roads over the time horizon. However, the commercial properties flanking the post office was removed. In contrast, the primary school was extended to incorporate two additional buildings.
When it comes to open environments, the gardens, including the homes inside the territory, were replaced with a home to look after senior residents. Similarly, grassland on both sides of the main road was somewhat converted into new housing buildings. The bridge remained the same for 40 years, serving as a connection between Denham, located to the east of the River Stoke, and the outside world.
