The given picture illustrates the way in which the layout of a small park has changed for renovation purposes.
Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that some old features have been still there, whereas others such as wall and gates have all been gone. Additionally, from 1980 to present day, the place has undergone number of dramatic changes in terms of facilities with the introduction of new features such as picnic tables and a barbecue area.
In 1980, the park was enclosed by boundary wall with two gates, which loacted at the southern site and one in the west. In the bottom of the park, there were two areas for growing flowers in the southeast and southwest. Besides, a large woodland located along the rear of the park at the northeast site. A pond situated near the centre of the park was surrounded by three benches.
However, the small park has been tranformed into an open-plan recreational space instead of an enclosed garden. As a result, the boundary wall with two gates has all been disappeared, which has created a barrier-free environment. In the northwest corner, an ornamental bush has replaced a cluster of flowers. Simultaneously, the flower area opposite a cluster of bushs has been destroyed to make way for more spaces for visitors. A large garden in the northeast has been diminished the size and has installed three picnic tables and a barbecue area.
