The two maps show how the town of Westley has changed since 1815. Overall we can see that the town has become more urban and developed than in the past.
The town has been become much less green than in the past and is now more modern. For example now there are no fields and instead a train line has been built with a train station and cinema. The wood in the centre of the town has been cutted down and has been replaced by a housing estate. There have been making other changes with accomodation in the town. All of the houses that were surrounded the market square and town hall have also been knocked out and turned into a residential and business area with a further residential, business and shopping area at the new end of the road.
Other buildings in Westley are all different. The church has been demolished and there is now a shopping centre in its place. There is a sports centre and museum on the site of the coach inn and Lord Westleys House have been turned to a pub and hotel.
