We have two maps that show the changes that have taken place in the town of Westley since 1815. We will discuss keys changes in the area between then and now.
The town has been indusrailized where green areas have reduced significantly. Agricutlure has almost disappered from the area where the woods have been cut down and the field have been flattened. A railway station has been built in the south west part where now a railway crosses the area north to south.
Many building have been demolished or converted. The church has been demolished and a big shopping mall has been built in its place. Lord Westley’s House has been converted into a pub and a hotel. The market place and the town hall stayed the same but the housing area next to them was converted into a business and residential areas. New building has been added such a cinema and a museum.
